NGA is very pleased to announce a new option to re-certify for those
auto glass technicians that are currently NGA Certified.
- Current NGA Certified auto glass technicians can now renew
their certification by earning "Certification Credits" (CCs), instead
of taking the certification exam again. (You still must pass the exam
for initial certification.)
- 10 CCs must be earned over a 3-year period. " One CC is equal to one
hour of continuing education taken from any continuing education provider.
These can include supplier demos, educational seminars, vocational school
programs, etc.
- Simply download this form and mail with payment along with certificates of completion verifying 10 hours of continuing education to the NGA. It is recommended candidates send the original certificates of completion to the NGA and keep a copy of them for their files. In the event of disagreement, or as part of routine program auditing, NGA will review a provider’s files and course content. The attached form is valid until December 31, 2007.
- Your certification will be renewed at your current level. If you are
certified at the "Technician" level you will be re-certified
at the Technician level. If you are certified as a "Master"
you will be re-certified at the Master level.
- The fee to re-certify through continuing education is $99.00 for NGA
Members and $199.00 for non-members. This is a substantial savings off
the re-certification exam fee!
- For more detailed information about the continuing education for auto glass replacement certification renewal please download this form.
Continuing education providers may use this form as a certificate of completion for their students. If you create your own certificate please capture the same information as the one provided here.
