The Business Accreditation criteria focus on requirements
that all businesses need to function in an exemplary manner. This includes
best practices, employee proficiency, and the safety of employees and
customers. NGA expects each applicant to provide the required information
and data on the company's operations and services. This information
will remain confidential. All required information must be included
in order to demonstrate that the applicant's business is actually operating
in a fashion that meets the following business accreditation standards:
- A physical business location
- A designated business classification
- Appropriate state and federal business licenses
- Proper business insurance to include general liability coverage, workman's
compensation, vehicles, and equipment
- Verification of actual inventory
- Verification of days and hours of operation
- Verification of a comprehensive OSHA Approved or Recognized Safety
Program
- NGA Certified Technicians
- An on-site inspection conducted and signed off by an authorized inspector
to include a licensed insurance agent (preferred), a local building
inspector, a state approved private inspection company, or a government
agency.
The Business Accreditation Program is an exclusive NGA member program.
If you are not an NGA member, and would like to participate in this unique,
industry-leading program, please visit www.glass.org/members/join.htm.
Note: The purpose of the on-site inspection is to evaluate the overall
working conditions of the business. The approved inspector will ensure
that the criteria have been met. NGA has a directory of safety consultation
services listed by state. Most of the services are free
