The Ins and Outs of Architectural Glass Design

Join a webinar, hosted by Architectural Record as part of NGA's Glass and Glazing Design Academy on Thursday, August 18, to learn more about the performance and sustainability benefits, and aesthetics that can be achieved when designing with architectural glass.

This webinar will address sustainability challenges facing the building community, the difference between embodied carbon and operational carbon, glass product solutions and more. Presentation highlights include two innovative higher education projects: Siebel Center for Design, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign; and Design Innovation Hub, Kent State University, presented by Michael Maiese, Associate Principal with Bohlin Cywinski Jackson.
 
Additionally, industry expert Chris Fronsoe from Vitro Architectural Glass will provide an overview of understanding embodied carbon in glass, carbon reduction strategies and potential solutions to reach reduction goals.

This course is part of the Glass and Glazing Design Academy and is worth 1 AIA LU|HSW towards earning the academy badge.
