Advocacy, Fabrication and Code Discussions to Top Annual Conference Agenda

The 2020 NGA Annual Conference heads to La Jolla, California, Jan. 13-15, where the Advocacy, Fabrication, and Forming Committees will gather to discuss leading industry topics and challenges.

Top priority for the Advocacy Committee is identifying new ways to advocate for glass materials among stakeholders and the broader construction industry, as well as mobilizing a “strike team” to respond to immediate concerns. Other topics to be addressed include glass recycling and methods for tracking glass racks, both of which can lead to increased operational efficiencies. The Fabricating and Forming Committees will meet to address items relevant to decorative, energy, fire-rated, insulating, laminating, protective glazing and tempering applications. The technical and codes team will also provide the latest updates to the technical resources available within the industry and the results from the most recent ICC hearings.

For networking activities, attendees will be able to participate in a round of golf at Torrey Pines, one of the top four courses in the country that is set to host the U.S. Open in 2021. The conference will also include the 5th annual Fun Run/Walk.
