NGA EXPANDS CONTENT OF MYGLASSCLASS.COM
NEW CLASSES ENHANCE INNOVATIVE ON-LINE TRAINING PROGRAM

WASHINGTON, DC  (May 30, 2007) – The National Glass Association (NGA) today announced the addition of two new educational courses to its groundbreaking on-line training program, MyGlassClass.com. The courses were developed in partnership with two NGA member companies in order to further enhance the breadth and relevance of the training site.

One of the new classes, “Frameless Shower Doors: Advanced Measuring Techniques – Parts 1 and 2,” was developed in conjunction with NGA Board Member company Craftsman Fabricated Glass, based in Houston, TX. It outlines proper tools, site assessment, and various measuring techniques. The other new class, “Auto Glass Installation – En Español,” was created with the cooperation of NGA member company Equalizer Industries, Inc. in Round Rock, TX. It is a six-part course, conducted in Spanish, which covers pre-inspection, windshield removal, installation and final inspection.

“Our company, like the glass industry as a whole, is absolutely committed to providing the kind of training our employees need to maintain the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship,” said NGA Board Member Bob Lawrence of Craftsman Fabricated Glass, Ltd. “We are proud of our contribution to the continued success of MyGlassClass.com.”

“With the addition of these two courses, we have significantly expanded the value of what was already a highly valuable and extremely effective training tool,” said NGA Vice President, Association Services David Walker. “We are especially gratified by the strong involvement of our member companies as we seek to continually improve MyGlassClass.com so that it is tailored to their needs.”

MyGlassClass.com was launched in June 2006 and offers dozens of courses specifically designed for both the auto and flat glass industry, ranging from safety instruction to professional development to industry certification. It was developed in partnership with leaders in the glass industry and will be continually updated and enhanced to reflect industry needs.
