ENERGY EFFICIENCY FORUM ADDED TO GLASSBUILD AMERICA® PROGRAM
EDGETECH SPONSORS EXPERT PANEL ADDRESSING KEY TECHNOLOGY, POLICY PRIORITIES
WASHINGTON, DC (August 5, 2009)—Furthering its dedication to education and elevating the industry, Edgetech announced today its sponsorship of the GlassBuild America® Energy Efficiency Town Hall Forum, scheduled for October 1 at 10:30 a.m. at the Georgia World Congress Center. The forum-style discussion will bring experts together to explore the technologies, rules and policies needed to encourage greater efficiencies in the future.
“Given the current state of the technology and the substantial emphasis on energy efficiency policies by the Obama Administration, this town hall-style meeting will be a must-attend event at GlassBuild America,” said David Walker, vice president of association services at the National Glass Association. “We’re very pleased to offer this timely seminar discussion of the constraints and opportunities posed by the energy efficiency movement, particularly those in the window and door, and commercial market segments. We’ll examine policies, codes, technology and much more at this high-profile national event”.
Rich Walker, President and CEO of the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA), has agreed to moderate the panel. Other distinguished panelists include: Marg Webb, Executive Director, Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance (IGMA); Richard Karney of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Star Program; Brandon Tinianov, Chief Technology Officer, Serious Materials; Ray Garries, Manager, Jeld-Wen; Dr. Helen Sanders of SAGE Electrochromics; and Mike Manteghi, Director of R&D, TRACO, INC.
“The Energy Efficiency Forum will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of this year’s show,” said Erin Johnson, Edgetech’s director of marketing. “We anticipate a lively discussion that will help us all gain insight, take advantage of available opportunities, and poise ourselves, as an industry, for future growth.”
