NGA ANNOUNCES NEW CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

WASHINGTON, DC  (October 15, 2008) –  The National Glass Association (NGA) is pleased to announce the election of Stephen W. Mort to the office of Chairman of the Board.

Mort, of Don’s Mobile Glass, Inc. in Modesto, CA, has been a supporter of the NGA for many years, having served on the board since 2003. Mort took the office of Chairman on October 7 at GlassBuild America in Las Vegas. He will serve a one-year term.

Joining Mort as executive officers are Chairman-Elect, Kevin McMahon of K-Man Glass Corp. in Bethel, CT and Treasurer, Steven R. Burnett of Walters & Wolf Curtain Wall, Mukilteo, WA. Rod Van Buskirk of Bacon & Van Buskirk in Champaign, IL, serves as immediate past chairman for the coming year.

Wes Topping, Jr. of Belron, Inc. in Commerce City, CO, Al Gauntlett, General Glass Co., Inc., Portland, OR and Richard Voreis, Consulting Collaborative, Dallas, TX all leave the board after their dedicated years of service. Bill Evans, Jr. of Evans Glass Co., Nashville, TN, Rich Harrison of Belron US, Columbus, OH and Paul Heinauer of Glasspro, Mt. Pleasant, SC all join the board of directors to serve a three-year term.

Board members returning for the 2008-2009 term are: Douglas Linderer of Go-Glass Corp., Salisbury, MD; Chris Mammen, Mammen Glass & Mirror, Irving, TX; John Morris of Jack Morris Auto Glass in Memphis, TN; Gregory P. Pattakos, Advanced Auto Glass, Inc., Akron, OH; and Robert J. Trainor, Trainor Glass Co., Alsip, IL.
