WASHINGTON, DC (December 15, 2009) – The Window & Door Dealers Alliance today announced that its inaugural Window & Door Dealers (WDD) Forum will take place on Tuesday, September 14, in conjunction with GlassBuild America 2010 in Las Vegas.
Patterned after the National Glass Association's popular Glazing Executives Forum, the WDD Forum is expected to become an annual destination for leaders of the window and door industry to gather, hear from prominent speakers, share best practices, engage in interactive breakout sessions and network with their peers.
The Forum is the first major event announced by the new Window & Door Dealers Alliance (WDDA), launched this September for the purpose of serving a critical, yet overlooked, segment of the industry. The WDDA, an initiative of the National Glass Association, represents the interests of retail, wholesale and installing dealers of new and replacement residential windows, doors, skylights and related building products. It is developing training and educational resources for member companies and providing meetings, trade shows, seminars and publications to advance the professionalism of industry participants.
“We’re extremely excited about the prospects for the WDD Forum to bring our industry together like never before,” said Jana Goodrich, owner of Seaway Window and co-chairperson of the Forum. “We’ve needed this type of event for as long as I can remember, and I can’t wait to join my peers from around the nation at our inaugural gathering.”
“The Forum will attract dozens of the brightest and most innovative professionals in our business for a day of learning, sharing, problem-solving and networking,” said Ken Mariotti, president of Woodland Windows & Doors and WDD Forum co-chairperson. “We’re planning a robust agenda that I believe every participant will benefit from and enjoy."
