September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, and Construction Suicide Prevention Awareness Week is September 8-12, 2025. In an effort to promote the importance of workplace mental health, and the prevention of substance abuse and suicide, NGA presents this Thirsty Thursday webinar covering the impact of lived experience. For more than 25 years, people with suicide-centered lived experience have been key to advancing suicide prevention efforts across the nation. Join us for a special session from the Suicide Prevention Resource Center to learn about the early efforts that laid the foundation for today’s best practices—and future directions for the field. Plus, access resources to help your company with its prevention efforts.
