Founded in 2021 by Gus Schmoll, G&K is a small, family-focused engineering consulting firm with more than 20 years of cladding engineering experience. Our team of engineers has worked together for nearly that entire time, fostering strong collaboration and consistency across projects. G&K maintains Professional Engineer (PE) registration in 49 states and the District of Columbia. We are committed to providing our clients with a high level of personal care and attention. Through close collaboration, we continually refine our methods and advance our engineering practice. We provide structural engineering services for aluminum and steel curtain wall and storefront systems, as well as wall cladding products such as aluminum composite material (ACM) panels.

What is a big glass project or accomplishment for your company?
For the VA Women’s Clinic Minneapolis, MN, G&K worked with W. L. Hall Co., providing blast calculations for curtain wall systems. Other large projects include a point supported glass guard rail system for the Camelback Office Building in Phoenix and structural engineering for the window wall system of Malt Drive, Long Island City, NY, working with Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope Wausau.
