FHC donates $100,000 to fund glazier training and recruitment efforts
At Monday’s Glazing Executives Forum in Atlanta, NGA presented glazing supply company FHC with a recognition award for their $100,000 donation to the NGA Foundation. Accepting on behalf of FHC were Chris Hanstad, president and CEO and Paul Daniels, senior advisor.
“This industry has given me and my family so much for decades,” said Hanstad while accepting the award. “What a wonderful thing to give back to the industry and continue to grow.”
Daniels concurred saying, “It’s a great industry, it’s an essential industry and we need to share that with the next generation of workers to show them that the glass industry’s a great place to be.”
NGA’s Director of Content, Education & Training Jenni Chase presented the award to FHC saying, “We have been fortunate over the past two years to put nearly 200 glazier apprentices through NGA’s glazier apprentice curriculum thanks to the generosity of donors to the NGA Foundation.”
FHC Frameless Hardware Company is a manufacturer and supplier to the glass, glazing, and fenestration industries based in South Gate, California.
NGA’s Glazing Executives Forum for leaders of contract glazing and full-service glass companies is a one-day event held annually during GlassBuild America: The Glass, Window & Door Expo.
