Vienna, Va. (Aug. 13, 2026) - GlassBuild America, the glass, window, and door industry's largest trade event in North America, taking place Sept. 23-25, in Las Vegas, announced the launch of the inaugural Innovation Lounge. The dynamic, curated showcase experience is designed to bring together the most transformative technologies reshaping the built environment, spotlighting cutting-edge advancements across artificial intelligence, architectural glass, robotics, next-generation technology platforms, and sustainability.

The Innovation Lounge, located in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, will be open to GlassBuild attendees daily during show hours.

“GlassBuild America has always been where our industry comes together to discover what's next," said Lakisha A. Woods, CAE, president & CEO of the National Glass Association, owner of GlassBuild America. "The Innovation Lounge builds on that tradition by giving attendees a firsthand look at breakthrough technologies, the innovators behind them, and the trends shaping the future of our industry.”

Designed as an immersive, interactive destination within the GlassBuild America show floor, the Innovation Lounge goes beyond traditional exhibit formats. Attendees will engage directly with live technology demonstrations, hands-on product displays, expert-led presentations, and curated networking opportunities, all within an environment that mirrors the sophistication and innovation of the products on display.

Whether they're glaziers, fabricators, manufacturers, architects, or contractors, attendees will get a front-row seat to the technologies and trends defining the next decade of the glass and fenestration industry.

The Innovation Lounge will feature exhibitors and technologies organized around five innovation pillars, each highlighting the products, solutions, and ideas transforming the industry.

  • Artificial Intelligence: Experience AI-powered design tools, including A+W Clarity's “Mira,” a step forward in digitalizing order processing for the glass industry, and Glazier Software's “Glazier AI,” the first end-to-end AI suite built for glass and glazing contractors — along with predictive maintenance platforms and intelligent manufacturing systems are accelerating production, reducing waste, and enabling glass professionals to deliver smarter, faster results for their customers.
  • Robotics & Automation: See live demonstrations, including Lattuada's robotic solution featuring limited-edition edgers, a breakthrough in glass processing automation, along with automated cutting and handling systems and precision installation technologies transforming job site safety, throughput, and quality control. Also featured: Salem Fabrication Technologies Group's SMART Automation Solutions™, an advanced, integrated automation ecosystem engineered to transform glass fabrication.
  • Technology & Digital Innovation: Explore the latest advances in building information modeling (BIM), augmented reality (AR) for glazing and installation, and smart glass control systems, including FlexScreen Ghost™ from FlexScreen RiteScreen, featuring a refined white frame and retention system designed to blend seamlessly into the modern window.
  • Sustainability & Green Innovation: Discover sustainable materials, energy-efficient coatings, circular economy solutions, and low-carbon manufacturing practices helping the industry meet rising demands of green building codes, LEED certification, and net-zero construction goals — including Technoform's Intercept® Extreme™, supporting homeowners' goals for energy efficiency, indoor comfort, and service life.
  • Architectural Glass: See the latest advances in architectural glass — from ultra-thin flexible panels and dynamic electrochromic glazing to structural glass innovations and next-generation interlayers redefining what's possible in modern facades, interiors, and public spaces. Highlights include FHC's multi-patented Hydraulic Series Shower Hinge, bringing true hydraulic closing to a standard hinge design, and U.S. Bullet Proofing's new line of FEMA-rated windows and doors — the only system of its kind engineered to deliver true multi-threat protection, combining life-safety defense against tornadoes and hurricanes with certified resistance to high-powered rifle attacks.

The Innovation Lounge is one of several new additions to GlassBuild America 2026, reflecting the shows continued growth as the industry's premier destination for innovation, education, and connection. Registration and full event details are available now at glassbuildamerica.com.

ABOUT NGA

Founded in 1948, the National Glass Association (NGA), glass.org, combined with the Glass Association of North America (GANA) in 2018 to form the largest trade association serving the architectural glass and metals industry supply chain, including glazing contractors, full-service glass companies, glass fabricators, primary glass manufacturers and suppliers to the industry. It is a technical powerhouse that brings some of the best minds to the table to create technical resources and promote and advocate for glass in buildings. NGA's education and training resources—including MyGlassClass.com, MyGlassFAB, and Glazier Apprentice Curriculum—and its official publications Glass Magazine and Window + Door, keep the industry knowledgeable and well informed. NGA also produces the industry's largest annual trade show in the Americas, GlassBuild America, and hosts these conferences: NGA Glass Conferences, Building Envelope Contractors (BEC) Conference, and NGA Glass Fabricator Conference (GFAB). Contributions to The NGA Foundation support training the industry and educating consumers about the many ways glass and glazing contribute to a safe, healthy, sustainable, and inspiring built environment.
